Our history and the impact we have made

Over 30 years ago, our vision was born in the hearts of 3 people….

We focus on anyone disadvantaged by poverty, generally older people with mental health and/or physical disabilities who are house bound. We work with individuals and groups within communities to improve their general wellbeing, quality of life and social inclusion and to give respite to carers.

The Centre

The Centre has a proud record of developing activities which encourage beneficiaries to come together, learn new skills and develop independence. We run successful projects devised by beneficiaries such as the Day Care Centre, Visiting and Befriending Service, the Youth Creation Kids Club and the Re-Stimulating-You project. We meet our community’s needs, lead positive change and improve beneficiaries’ lives.

Our volunteers and community members make the difference

We have a dedicated group of Trustees and other volunteers, age range 18-64 and we’re proud to host a group of students on Health and Social Care placements each year. Quarterly reviews are completed quarterly by beneficiaries, volunteers and local businesses ensuring we are ‘fit for purpose’ and addressing the needs of our Community.
